Message from Inspector Head

Police are currently conducting a murder investigation in which a 37 year old male was fatally stabbed on Union Street, Market Rasen at approximately 5pm on Thursday the 12th of March.  This will result in a significant policing presence in the area over the coming days.  A 55 year old male, a 31 year old female and a 29 year old male have all being arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently held in custody whilst enquiries continue.  We are encouraging anyone that can assist with the investigation to call 101 and quote incident number 370 of the 12th of March.  

I appreciate the concern and impact this incident will have had on the local community within Market Rasen and I will be holding a meeting at the Market Rasen Town hall on the 16th of March 2026 at 5pm.
